Assessment After Levels

Since the reforms to the national curriculum were introduced in September 2014 the current system of ‘levels’ used to report children’s attainment and progress have been removed. As a school we are continuing with levels for one more year, using them to target and report progress. By removing levels the Department for Education is allowing teachers greater flexibility in the way that they plan and assess pupils’ learning. Therefore, by September 2015 we wish to be in a position whereby children are assessed differently and this document discusses possibilities for assessment after levels.
