Wardle Academy Band Association
The Wardle Academy Band Association is made up of a group of staff and parent/carers who meet monthly to help organise fund-raising and other support for the many musical groups at Wardle Academy.
The Band Association members provide help during the school’s musical events such as the musical evenings and concerts and provide support at out of school concerts and engagements including assisting with transport. They also provide support during residential engagements for the musical groups.
We are always looking for new parents/carers to join us and new members are very welcome to attend our meetings.
Wardle Academy hosts a number of popular academic clubs during term time.
These clubs cover a range of activities and subjects and are designed to encourage students to independently engage in academic challenges and opportunities. Independent learning is a life skill that we encourage and celebrate as the academic achievement of our students continues to flourish.
The Wardle Academy’s Drama and Music departments team up each year for the annual school production and since this began, each production has been hugely successful.
The hard work and dedication of both staff and students in these large projects are commendable and each year continues to see new performing arts challenges beaten. Recent productions include; Grease, We Will Rock You, The Little Shop of Horrors, The Grinch Christmas musical Les Miserables, The Sound of Music and School of Rock.
Welcome to our sports teams page. This is the hub for all sport related information, including info about clubs you can join, latest news and notices, upcoming fixtures, event reports and links to practice schedules.

WARDLE ACADEMY – SPORTS AWARDS
Each year the PE department host an evening of Sports Awards. This is our way of thanking students for their efforts and commitment throughout the year, a way for us as different teams to come together and celebrate and also a way for particular outstanding performances and team efforts to be recognised.
A number of awards are presented on the evening. These awards range from sports personality for the year to the high competitive team of the year. The night is always a great success and appears to be growing in numbers and awards every year.
We are open over the Easter holiday (including Bank Holidays) to students of keyworkers (either or both parents) and students who may be considered vulnerable.
