The Music Department aims to develop a lasting curiosity, interest and enjoyment in the Creative and Performing Arts. As such, they offer programmes of study that provide students with opportunities to develop into successful, creative, reflective and active participants.
The department strives to provide each pupil with all the resources they need to achieve their full potential as learners. They aim to ensure the highest level of achievement through the delivery of a rich portfolio of Creative and Performing Arts courses and examination qualifications. Significant investment has been made in the Music department to ensure that students are given to opportunity to experience and learn a large range of instruments and musical styles.
In addition to our curriculum success, Wardle Academy boosts an internationally renowned extra-curricular music programme. Students are taught by dedicated professional music tutors on a range of Brass and Woodwind instruments, and are encouraged to join one of the various music ensembles to further progress their music studies and team based interaction. Our music groups have received a huge amount of praise for their talents, winning competitions both nationally and internationally.
We are open over the Easter holiday (including Bank Holidays) to students of keyworkers (either or both parents) and students who may be considered vulnerable.
