The PE Department at Wardle Academy develops students’ confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school.
As a department we strive to ensure we offer a varied and diverse curriculum that fosters our students’ subject interests and enables them to understand the benefits of healthy active lifestyles. We allow students to sample a range of individual and team based sports to develop their range of specific skills and develop a desire to understand body systems, how they work and how promoting exercise can aid for a healthier future.
We aim to continuously develop our extracurricular offering and promote participation and success within the borough representing our academy in a range of competitions at level 2 and 3.
