From 2016 new measures have come into place to identify the progress and attainment of students at high school. These measures are attainment 8 and progress 8.
Progress 8 is a new secondary accountability measure aimed at measuring the progress of pupils across a selected set of 8 subjects. A progress score above zero indicates that on average pupils are making more progress above the national target.
Att8 (Attainment 8) this accountability measure shows the average attainment grade achieved on average across a selected set of 8 subjects.
