We are very lucky to have a wonderful library, stocked with all the latest books.
As soon as you become a student at Wardle Academy, you will have access to all the books. A book can be kept for two weeks and after this time it can be renewed. We do not have a fines system, however we ask that you stay aware of the date that your book is due and renew or return it.
Mrs Henderson and Mrs Kenny are here to help you find your next exciting read. If you are struggling to find a book that might interest you or would like to ask the library to order a book for you, feel free to come to see us.

Your Library…use it!
Some students have accelerated reading lessons in the library every week. In this lesson, the students read books at a level appropriate for their reading age and then quiz on the book to test their understanding. If students pass the quiz, they move up to their next book level. The word count for each successful quiz is banked with the aim of students reaching 1 million words. Look out for your name climbing up ‘Mount Millionaire’. Can you reach the top?
We are open over the Easter holiday (including Bank Holidays) to students of keyworkers (either or both parents) and students who may be considered vulnerable.
