Amnesty International Seminar
Amnesty International are an organisation that work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.
On Wednesday 20th January students in years 8 attended a live online seminar with Amnesty International. This session allowed students to examine the development of human rights, reflect on the different articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and explore examples of how human rights differ around the world.
Amnesty International made parallels between the values in the UDHR and values held in the Wardle Way. This session was a key part of students’ personal development, appreciating diversity and respect for others.

‘I found the live really interactive and engaging. The session helped me to understand that human rights are not appreciated by all governments around the world. I really enjoyed finding out more information about Malala Yousafzai and am now eager to read her book’
