Google Classroom FAQ
What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is our online platform where we set remote learning classwork, homework and extended learning opportunities. Videos to support students using Google Classroom can be found here.
What is Guardian Email Summary?
Google Classroom will send you an invitation so you can request daily or weekly emails from Google Classroom detailing what learning your child has been set in each Google Classroom that your child is a part of. Google sends the daily emails at 4pm, and the weekly email is sent out on a Friday afternoon. If you haven’t had an invite please contact us.
How do I as the parent/carer access Google Classroom?
Only students can access their Academy email account and Google Classroom. Due to GDPR we can’t give out students’ email addresses to their parents/carers. This clip here will help you to see what your child’s Google Classroom looks like.
But what about all the other platforms my child is using?
The list of the main platforms we use and how we use them are shown above. If our students need any supplementary materials, websites or reading, it can be found in the student resources of our website here. Reading lists can also be found here.
