Celebrating Students and Staff with the 12 Days of Wardlemas
Over the past 12 days we have been rewarding our students for their excellent attendance and punctuality with our 12 Days of Wardlemas campaign. Each day, students who were in school and on time were entered into a raffle with the chance to win an amazing prize every single day.
The lucky winners received prizes ranging from jam packed hampers and Amazon Fire tablets to gift cards and Echo Dot speakers! Students also received festive selection boxes, sweets and snacks.
Well done to our students for their excellent attendance and punctuality throughout the festive period. We know it will continue well into the academic year.
Today’s festive celebrations started with a brilliant performance of ‘Jingle Bells’ by the Wardle Band as staff and students arrived at school. It really set the tone for a day of festivities and got everyone excited for Christmas!
We also celebrated Christmas Jumper Day where students were encouraged to wear their festive jumpers to school. The festivities were in support of Rochdale Foodbank with students asked to bring an item of food into school to help those in need. The generous donations are a real testament to our wonderful students and will make a huge difference to the community.
Our staff also got involved in the festive fun, wearing their best (and worst) Christmas jumpers to school to support Rochdale Foodbank.
Wardle’s mischievous elf was also caught on camera taking selfies or ‘elfies’ with staff around school.
The festive atmosphere has certainly been felt throughout school with staff nominating each other for awards and celebrating the hard work carried out over the term.
We wish all of our students and staff a very happy and restful festive period and thank them for all of their hard work over the past term.
