Charlie Smith – Apprentice Workshop Engineer at Salt Separation Services Ltd.
We are highlighting the achievements of Charlie Smith, a former Wardle Academy and St James CE Primary School student and current Apprentice Workshop Engineer at Salt Separation Services Ltd.
Life at Wardle Academy
Before starting Wardle Academy, Charlie was a pupil at another of our Watergrove Trust schools, St James CE Primary School. Charlie continued his education within the Trust, starting at Wardle in 2018.
In the early years of his time at Wardle Academy, Charlie sadly suffered from a stroke. He spoke of the support he received from the staff at Wardle who helped him to succeed at school and navigate this difficult time in his life.
Wardle Academy as a school managed to come together to support me and my needs.
He particularly highlighted the support of Mr Harris, Ms Thomas Montgomery, Mr Dawson, Mr Pryce and Ms Walker who helped him through this period at school.
Life after Wardle Academy
Charlie is currently an Apprentice Workshop Engineer for Salt Separation Services Ltd. The company builds fresh water reserve osmosis plants for cruise ships, oil rigs, cargo ships and for land.
