Chester Zoo
The Year 7 geographers of Wardle Academy recently visited Chester zoo. We could not have picked better days to visit as we did not feel a drop of rain on either of the days!
This term Year 7 have been studying ecosystems and global biomes in geography and whilst at Chester zoo the students were learning about the different animals they were visiting and facts about them. The students learnt about the animals’ adaptations to their particular biome that they live in, what the climate is like there and which other animals form part of their food chain.
We had a fantastic two days, our students showed exceptional behaviour and were very respectful towards the animals and their environment.
Well done year 7!
