Duke of Edinburgh Awards!
We are incredibly proud of our year 11s who have successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Today they were presented with their certificate and badge to recognise their resilience and dedication to this prestigious award.
To complete the award, the pupils had to complete 3 disciplines: Volunteering, Skill and Physical Recreation. This involved a minimum of 3 months of their time towards two of the disciplines and 6 months to the third.
As well as this, they had to complete a 2-day expedition with an overnight camp in the moorland north of Bolton. During this weekend, they had to be completely self-sufficient carrying all equipment, food and camping gear with them. The weather back in October was quite challenging at times (ask any of them!)
A huge well done to them all!
