Father Michael Fleming Interview
On Monday 25th January students in year 7 attended a live interview with Father Michael Fleming. This session allowed students to speak with a representative of the Christian community who created a movement called ‘Church on the Street’.
Father Michael talked about his turbulent past and his role in organised crime and his religious conversion experience, all of which are factors that have influenced his interpretation of what it is to be a priest.
Students were able to examine what it means to be a Christian and reflect on the importance of working with and supporting vulnerable sections of society.
‘I was in awe of Father Michael’s story, it was amazing to speak to someone who has shown that it is never too late to change. I think that the work that Father Michael is carrying out with Church on the Street is remarkable and really respect what he is doing with his life.’
