Food Bank Donations
This year we did things a little differently at Wardle in order to support a cause much closer to our hearts and home, Rochdale Food Bank.
Sadly, over 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK and the need for food banks is increasing. Rochdale Food bank offers help to people in Rochdale that are in crisis. These are often referred by specialist agencies such as social services, GP surgeries, schools, care centres and probation teams.
Following the fabulous collection of food gathered on Christmas Jumper Day, Mr Giles and Miss Carey took four of our fabulous students to the local food bank and dropped off the goods in time for families in need this Christmas. We intend to work much closer with this brilliant charity and look forward to our next event!
