Recently a former Wardle Academy student and member of the Wardle Academy Brass Band has flown over to Sierra Leone (original story here).
Thomas works with the Turley Charitable Trust which do amazing things, one of which is to build a new settlement to rehouse slum dwellers from the capital Freetown.
The Wardle Academy Brass Band has donated instruments and we are proud to say they have landed safe and sound over in Sierra Leone! The Village Chief (and band manager), was simply over the moon when he received the instruments.
