Students Enjoy Day of Maths at Taking Maths Further Event at Manchester University
Our students attended the ‘Taking Maths Further’ event at Manchester University and were treated to a jam packed day of maths activities.
The day involved a maths roadshow which included solving logic puzzles, an introduction to imaginary and complex numbers, how mathematical modelling is implied to optimisation problems in manufacturing and a session on studying maths at A-Level and beyond.
We were particularly impressed by Ellis’ answers to questions on imaginary numbers and Fletcher’s quick recall of the quadratic formula!
