The Dickens Theatre Company
Monday 13th December and Tuesday 14th December, Year 10 were treated to an absolutely delightful visit from the Dickens Theatre Company who travelled to Wardle all the way from London!
Students experienced the wonders of A Christmas Carol which was adapted and performed by two fantastic actors who have a combined experience of over 40 years in television, film and theatre.
Following both performances, students had the amazing opportunity to work with the actors and study their GCSE texts on a more intimate level than they have done before; by exploring the key themes of both texts and looking at the characters inner-most desires and/ or fears, the students were able to establish links to the texts that often take years to refine.
We are very grateful to the Dickens Theatre Company for all of the fantastic work that went into both days of the visit and we cannot wait until they visit again in the near future.
