Wardle RAF Aces
In March Ben and George were specially selected from the whole of the Rochdale squadron (30 members) to take part in flying a light aircraft at RAF Woodvale in Southport. They completed simulation training at squadron beforehand and training on the day. Many of the skills required to be a cadet embody The Wardle Way including Resilience, Ambition, Excellence and Leadership.
They took control of the aircraft and flew past Blackpool Tower and did loop the loops! On completion of their flights the boys received their “Wings” badge! Well on the way to pursue their careers with the Royal Air Force.
