Year 10 Employability Day 2023
Recently, Wardle Academy was host to an amazing and thoroughly engaging Employability Day!
The aim of this event was to engage with local business, services and potential employers. Our students also had the chance to meet post 16 providers of colleges, training and apprenticeships in an interactive and inspirational setting. The students were in small groups throughout the day and moved around the event in a carousel enabling them to interact with everyone that participated. This exposure will allow our students to make informed choices from a cross section of opportunities when considering their options upon leaving school at the end of Year 11.
We had stalls and guests from a wide variety of sources. Watergrove Trust, Oldham Sixth Form, Oldham College, Rochdale Sixth Form, Engaging Safety, the Together Housing Group, the local fire brigade and the Army branch of the Armed Forces.
