Year 8 Students Become Barclays Football Activators
Last week, a group of our Year 8 students became Barclays football activators!
The girls took part in their first conference as part of the Barclays Go Lead programme which aims to give girls the skills to design, create and deliver football activities for their peers.
They shared ideas around what it means to be a leader and how they are going to promote extracurricular activities around the Academy.
The Go Lead programme forms part of the Barclays Game On initiative which works in partnership with England Football. The programme is designed to support secondary schools to create engaging, meaningful and enjoyable girls’ football opportunities. The Go Lead initiative gives valuable leadership and teamwork skills to learners whilst growing their love for sports and football.
