You’re stronger than you know…
The poem below has been written by Miss Thorpe, one of our Geography teachers for our students.
“Hello to our Wardle gang, I hope this finds you well
In this time of quarantine, which some have said is hell
But let’s look at the brighter side, our glass should be half full
As many lessons you can learn, without being at school
The first thing you should know by now, we are all in this together
And if we face this as a team, all storms will surely weather
So please be kind and lend a hand to those who are in need
Volunteer and share some love by doing a good deed
This is a time for you to be the best version of you
Write yourself a list of things that you would like to do
Pick a skill or learn a craft, find something to create
Use this time productively and don’t procrastinate
Though the times are tough right now, whilst stuck in isolation
We’ll see things from a different view, with more appreciation
The time we get to spend with friends or those we love so dear
When we can, we’ll hold them tight for now we can’t be near
Please don’t be anxious or afraid, these things we can’t control
We understand these cancelled plans really take their toll
There’s one thing that is clear to me
You’re stronger than you know
And in this time, resilience and bravery will grow
We are proud of each and every one of you, tuned in today
We now have the chance to make a difference, in our very own WARDLE way”
