Overview

The ICT Department at Wardle Academy is committed to delivering an innovative, modern curriculum which equips learners for life in the 21st Century. As a department, the staff pride themselves on using new ways of teaching and learning which promote the skills needed for independence and creativity. New technology is embraced quickly to ensure that students at Wardle Academy leave with the highest standard of ICT experience in the area.

As a department, the ICT team provide opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular ICT through clubs and off site activities designed to encourage co-operation and fun. The department puts its continued success down to excellent teaching, excellent learning and excellent relationships with students.

Overview

The Award gives learners the opportunity to develop sector-specific knowledge and skills in a practical learning environment, such as project planning, designing and creating user interfaces, creating dashboards to present and interpret data whilst understanding legislation and cybersecurity.
